• Why take it? It bypasses the heavy traffic jams in places like Peliyagoda and Orugodawatta, which can add hours to your journey during peak rush hour (8:00 AM – 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM).

Important Note on Scenic Routes

Some search results show a route of 806km or 114km via the Southern Highway or via Kandy. Please ignore these for a direct transfer. Those are multi-day touring routes. The direct point-to-point journey is only ~40km.
